By definition good is "morally excellent; virtuous; righteous; pious." Evil is defined as "morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked." But it is not always easy to decipher between the two. What is your definition of good and evil and how can you tell the difference when it is not so clear? Also, who is good and evil in Macbeth...is anyone both?

In Macbeth, I believe the only "good" person is king Duncan because he gave awards to people who worked hard and only would kill people if they broke the law but he died right away so thats probabely why its a tragedy. I think everyone else is basically evil, macbeth kills everyone,m lady macbeth only cares about power, Banque knows Macbeth killed the king but he was ok with it and the sons of the King ran away to say themselves and forget about their murdered father.
Jennie~hope i did this right lol
I think that good and evil is based off of ones morals and actions. There is a line between wrong and right, and although it is sometimes blurred, the side you are on can determine what kind of person you are. Ithink that the only good person in this book is King Duncan because he did was was right an just. Eveeryone else in this book is outright evil or has evil intentions at the least.
I believe that there is no such thing as good and evil because I think that it's all about perspective. A lot of the time someone you may consider "evil" thinks that what they are doing is good. So the question is...who gets to decide what is good and what is evil? So everyone has a little bit of evil and good in them.
my definition of good and evil is personally mine, as is for all people. your own moral compass decides what is good and evil...what your self is morally obligated to oblige by. i fell all the characters have good and evil within, some are more outright about it but all are corrupt, which is a tragedy in itself
Good and evil are defined through perspective. They are a personal opinion based on the morals and values that one holds. What one person thinks is evil, another might consider good. Each of the characters is as good or evil as one believes they are. Personally, I believe that the King and his son are considered good, and Macbeth and his lady are considered evil. Although, each character contains a bit of both.

I would define good as an act of kindness or something that benefits people other than yourself and if it does benefit you it doesn't harm others. Bad would acts of hatefulness that harm other people or that are done out of spite and don't help anyone except the person doing it. Sometimes it's hard to tell good from bad so you just have to go off of what you personally feel is right or wrong. I think that as far as characters go, MacBeth is neither good nor evil, Lady MacBeth is Evil, and Duncan and his followers are good or anyone who is murdered by MacBeth. The reason that I say that MacBeth is neither good nor evil is because he does terrible things but he feels terrible after he does it and he is being pressured by his evil wife.
